Albums
Toto's discography consists of 13 studio albums as well as 4 live albums. There are also a few compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.
Before the formation of Toto, band members did session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to lacking hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned, and the band held auditions to find a replacement frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The band went through old recordings and tapes to create the special record. The album was well received by fans and the band embarked on a tour with former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
In the course of the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with Toto.

The band Toto IV released in 1983 received worldwide applause. Following the album's success, the band went on a world tour in support of the album. During the tour Bobby Kimball, the lead singer, was detained for drug-related charges. The band decided to let him go at the end of the tour and then hired guitarist and singer Joseph Williams in his place. Drummer David Hungate also left the band after the tour. He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.
The TOTO Museum is an impressive futuristic building that has several rooms devoted to telling the story of the company and its most innovative products. The exhibits at the museum include toilets and faucets, as well as tableware which have contributed to the growth of TOTO over the last half century. The museum also has special exhibits throughout the year.

The video takes place in a library and features the band performing on top of a stack of books about Africa.
The track "Africa" is a track from the album Toto IV, was written by the band members and produced by David Paich. The song was written by members of the band and produced by David Paich. It was a huge success in Europe and other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their fame following their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in the United States.

Prior to and during the creation of Toto its members, they did sessions for a variety of artists. Toto was created following Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and Boz Scaggs recorded Silk Degrees. Keyboardist Paich was a regular on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto began working on an album called Old Is New. This album featured three new tracks and several completed recordings of older songs. The album was a worldwide success and the band toured on tour to promote it.

The band Toto is best known for their hit single "Africa" Recently, the band came together for a concert tour to promote their new album, All In. The album debuted on November 6, 2018, and included three songs from the forthcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, as well as completed recordings of four older tracks that featured Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also included an original cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band decided to include after hearing the song on the radio.
